Dynasonics offers redesigned flat tip on full pipe magnetic flow meter
Dynasonics continues to offer the latest in technology in its product line. The newest advancement is the redesigned probe tip on the DMP Insertion MagProbe series. The new "flat tip" design allows the use of larger conductors, which will reduce fouling in applications where suspended solids are present.
Dynasonics meters include versatility and convenience, compared to conventional full pipe magnetic meters. This type of meter can be universally applied to a large range of pipe sizes without hardware changes, unlike the specific internal pipe dimension design of traditional magnetic meters. MagProbe sensors are available in various lengths to accommodate limited access mounting configurations and installation in pipe diameters up to 120" (3048 mm). Hot-tap sensors are installed and retracted from process piping without draining or depressurizing the system, and without system shutdown.
The DMP integrated sensor pre-amplifier has been relocated from the probe tip to the top of the probe and permits separation of up to 990' (297 m) between the sensor probe and the Dynasonics Series MFX electronic analyzer.
The MagProbe's new industrial-grade sensor design has a standard rating of NEMA 6 (IP 67), temperature up to 225° F (105° C), and pressure up to 700 PSI (48 bar). It consists of titanium, 316 stainless steel, Viton® and PVDF wetted materials.
