WinWare Inc. announces the addition of the Accu-Cab RFID Cabinet used to manage tooling, spare parts or any indirect material at point-of-use.

The Accu-Cab consists of a heavy duty, double walled cabinet internally equipped with four RFID Antennae and an electromagnetic door lock. When a user walks up to the Accu-Cab, he or she must identify themselves prior to the door being unlocked. They can do this by using a touch screen monitor mounted on the door or with a bar-code or proximity badge scan. Once the door is unlocked, the user opens the door to find inventory (that is tagged using Passive Gen2 Tags) on adjustable shelving. The user removes the inventory and shuts the door. The inventory is automatically adjusted and the inventory is properly accounted. The same procedure takes place when returning an item. The user identifies who they are to the system and then clicks “open” to unlock the door. The user places the item back on the shelving in any location.
