Phoenix Contact's new Pulse Input/Output Expansion Modules allow direct pulse information to be transmitted wirelessly from remote locations. The modules are compatible with Phoenix Contact's wireless BD, XD and Data BD Bus radios.

The digital pulse input module accepts pulse/frequency signals, while the output module accurately reproduces pulse counts or frequency outputs. The input module has a back-up power supply connection, which ensures that even if power is lost, the pulses will continue to be recorded.

The easy-to-configure devices are addressed with an eight-position rotary dial when used with Phoenix Contact wireless interface systems. A selectable dip switch allows the user to choose between “frequency” or “counter” modes. Two frequency ranges can also be selected with dip switches. Set-up errors are easy to detect and correct.
