Specialty Equipment Company announces the availability of two new Scanlift XS Series trailerable boom lifts that provide exceptional reach and versatility yet can be easily transported by a one-ton or larger truck and trailer.

The Scanlift XS 240 has a 79-ft. working height, 506-lbs. platform capacity and weighs only 10,600 lbs. Self-propelled boom lifts with the same working height capability can weigh on the order of 30,000 lbs. The lower weight makes transporting easier and allows operation in areas where ground pressure is an issue. The XS 240 also features proportional hydraulic controls and automatic self-leveling outriggers for quick and easy set-up.

The Scanlift XS 190 has a 61-ft. platform height, 506-lbs. platform capacity, full hydraulic controls, 8,140-lbs. vehicle weight and most of the same features as the larger model.

Both Scanlift models are powered by Kubota diesel engines and have four-wheel drive that provides 35% gradeability, plus an oscillating front axle that increases maneuverability around rough terrain jobsites. The XS 240 and XS 190 have Hi/Low speed selectors and can be driven at speeds up to 3 mph and 2.25 mph respectively.

Other standard features include a 33” x 70” basket, 90° hydraulic platform rotation, 360° continuous boom rotation, and three steering modes — front wheel, 4-wheel or crab steer.
