Spraying Systems Co. announces the release of their WindJet compressed air products for drying and blow-off applications. The comprehensive WindJet line of Low Flow Air Knives and Variable Air Amplifiers convert compressed air into high velocity air streams that vastly increase blow-off and drying efficiencies, while simultaneously reducing energy usage costs. WindJet compressed air products require minimal maintenance and operate at low noise levels that will not exceed 69dBA for most applications.
WindJet Low Flow Air Knives utilize a thin slotted orifice across the length of the knife to create a uniform sheet of air. A secondary supply of air is entrained along the edge of the knife to generate optimal precision and velocity. This technology significantly minimizes the use of compressed air and the energy costs that come along with it, while simultaneously delivering a hard-hitting force that maintains a highly uniform and constant air stream. Low Flow Air Knives are ideal for applications that have existing compressed air sources in place, but also have limited mounting space and cannot handle any increases in air temperature.
Easy to install, compressed air knives feature an inlet connection of 1/4-inch NPT or 1/4-inch BSPT, standard shims installed at .002-inch, additional shim sizes are available, which allow the user to customize the air stream for their application. WindJet Low Flow air knives come in lengths of 3-inches, 6-inches, 12-inches, 18-inches and 24-inches and are available in both aluminum and stainless steel finishes. Also available are WindJet Low Flow Air Knife Kits containing shim sets, filters and a pressure regulator and gauge, all sized according to the length of knife being used.
Intensifying precise amounts of compressed air, WindJet Variable Air Amplifiers produce a highly concentrated air stream that is ideal for applications that need precise airflow and variability in performance. Along with the compressed air, additional free air is pulled through WindJet Variable Air Amplifiers, resulting in maximum air amplification.
WindJet Variable Air Amplifiers are made in aluminum or 316 stainless steel. Also available are WindJet Variable Air Amplifier Kits which contain an automatic drain filter with a five micron filter, a pressure regulator, and pressure gauges, all sized properly for the amplifier being used.
