McGill adds interlocked switched receptacles to its pin & sleeve line
McGill has added interlocked switched receptacles to its line-up of watertight pin & sleeve devices built to IEC 309-1, 309-2, UL and CSA standards. The safety-enhancing interlocking feature stops accidental withdrawal or insertion of a plug unless the switch is in the OFF position.
McGill problem-solving IEC 309 products feature a singly rated, non-interchangeable configuration for every voltage, allowing plant and MRO staff to easily standardize electrical components globally. The arrangement of the pins, sleeves and keys prevents accidental mating of one IEC 309 device with another of a different voltage, current or system rating.
The McGill IEC 309 receptacles are engineered for the demands of watertight non-hazardous electrical applications, providing a edge in industrial areas, food and beverage processing plants, paper mills, wash-down areas, shipyards and refrigerated truck terminals where a service outlet is needed for portable or fixed electrical equipment.
Receptacle housings are constructed of flame retardant, impact resistant and non-corrosive valox and nylon material. The easy to wire receptacles are available in a wide range of voltages and amperages.
