SKF ball bearings handle misalignment
Self-aligning ball bearings work where misalignment may occur due to mounting errors or shaft deflection, offering low-friction, high-speed and low-noise performance in applications including fans, blowers, and conveyor equipment. The self-aligning design incorporates two rows of balls with a common sphere raceway in the outer ring. Basic types include open designs and versions with steel-reinforced rubber seals on both sides.
Standard sealed bearings come with a long-life lithium base grease suitable for operating at 22ºF to 230ºF, and require no relubrication in most applications. Available bores are cylindrical or tapered in sizes from 5 mm to 130 mm. Choices include cage materials, extended inner rings and special bore tolerances for easy mounting and dismounting. Custom designs can be developed to satisfy particular application requirements.
