Design Maintenance Systems accelerometer and vibration sensor increase value of predictive maintenance program
Design Maintenance Systems Inc. (DMSI), a leading innovator in the reliability industry, has introduced a USB-interfaced accelerometer and vibration sensor compatible with the company's machinery inspection software running on Windows Mobile handhelds. The company's InspectCE software uses the InspectVibe sensor to collect both spectrum and time waveform data.
Designed to increase the value of both Operator Driven Reliability and Predictive Maintenance programs, DMSI has further expanded the integrated offering of their main product, MAINTelligence. The direct interface to MAINTelligence lets an operator utilize a world-class vibration analysis package with easy to use route management tools and full vibration analysis and alarming capabilities.
In addition to vibration signatures, an operator can use an InspectCE device to collect temperatures, and all types of visual inspections with its variety of add-on data acquisition tools. The InspectVibe is completely self-contained, including a piezoelectric accelerometer, power supply, digital signal processor, and filters. The installation and configuration process is as simple as plugging the sensor's cable into a USB host port.
