Heat exchangers manufactured by Xchanger, Inc. are now available with bolt on conical transitions that provide easier access to the core and improved strength. In most applications, the simple bolt flange can reduce labor costs and downtime for inspection or cleaning by 50%.
This particular unit easily passed a 60 PSIG pressure test. It's being used to cool pneumatic conveying air that's transporting synthetic material to equipment down line for further processing. Prior to installing, the company had product quality problems they traced to heat in the conveying air adversely changing characteristics of the synthetic material.
