Syclo, a provider of mobile platform technology and mobile applications, announced that Gartner, Inc. has positioned it as a Challenger on the Magic Quadrant that appears in the new Mobile Enterprise Application Platforms (MEAP) report. In a separate Gartner research report on “Critical Capabilities for Mobile Enterprise Application Platforms,” Syclo received a score of 3.7 for meeting each of the four mobile scenario cases required by developers and IT organizations.

The criteria used by Gartner to evaluate over 300 mobile vendors were based on their ability to execute and their completeness of vision. The Gartner team examined the vendors and considered the overall viability of each one. Additional factors, such as market responsiveness and track record were considered, as well as products/services and customer experience. When looking at the completeness of vision, Gartner considered the vendors' market understanding, marketing strategy, offering strategy and innovation. Gartner also considered the companies’ vertical market and geographic strategies. With these considerations thoroughly reviewed, Gartner placed each of the vendors in one of four positions, or quadrants, including: Leaders, Challengers, Visionaries and Niche Players quadrants.
