The Raymond Corporation in Muscatine, Iowa, has received the annual President’s Manufacturing Excellence Award given by Toyota Industries Corporation. Raymond’s Muscatine facility is being recognized for use of the Toyota Production System principles to transform several production lines, resulting in improvements in the areas of quality, cost and delivery.

The official award ceremony was held May 9 at the Muscatine facility, and was presided over by James Malvaso, president and CEO of Toyota Materials Handling North America; Michael Field, president of operations and engineering division for Raymond; and Chuck Pascarelli, president of sales and marketing division for Raymond. Along with an award plaque, Toyota issued a monetary award that Muscatine used to host an employee luncheon to recognize all associates for their hard work and dedication.
