RAMS Center offers training and skills development to area businesses and manufacturers

Robert Wood, dean of Continuing Education at the University of North Florida, and Jeff Shiver, president of People and Processes Inc. announced a partnership to launch a new center to offer professional training, coaching and mentoring to local businesses, manufacturers and organizations.
The new facility, called the RAMS Center (which is an acronym for Reliability, Availability, Maintainability and Sustainability), will operate under the umbrella of the Division of Continuing Education at UNF. People and Processes Inc. will provide the training content, curriculum, instructors and consultants.
Through short courses, on-site consulting services and technical information, the center will provide training and services focused on employee development, operations, maintenance, business process re-engineering and promotion of industry-recognized best practices.
The initial curriculum at the RAMS Center includes Maintenance and Reliability for Managers, a Four-Part Series; Maintenance Planning and Scheduling; Materials Management; Preventive and Predictive Maintenance Development; Total Productive Maintenance; and the opportunity for customer-defined training development.
