Amazon.com expands Industrial and Scientific store
PlantServices.com
Amazon.com has expanded its Industrial and Scientific store (www.amazon.com/industrial) to include lab supplies, electronic components and metalworking. The Industrial and Scientific store now has hundreds of thousands of products that are used by businesses and institutions engaged in R&D, laboratory work, manufacturing and maintenance. The company says expansion of the Industrial and Scientific store is in response to customer interest and feedback requesting broader selection in this space.
Amazon.com’s Industrial and Scientific store targets the needs of small to large businesses. They offer anything from stainless steel tubing, to surface mount capacitors, to indexable carbide inserts, to plastic beakers, to Mil Spec machine screws, to casters to roller bearings to respirators.
Business and institutional buyers at the Amazon.com Industrial and Scientific store can sign up for an Amazon.com Corporate Account, which allows them to purchase on a line of credit, allowing businesses to place orders throughout the month with purchase orders and then pay at the end of the month, or they can use Amazon’s credit card checkout. Also available to customers is the Replenishment Shopping List feature, which allows businesses to create buyer-specific lists for consumable items they purchase frequently.
