Rockwell Automation hosted nearly 2,000 attendees at its ninth annual RSTechED partner training and user event in Scottsdale, Ariz. At the event, the company addressed the growing importance of plant-wide information integration and showcased its expanded suite of plant-wide information software, Rockwell Software FactoryTalk.
In keynote speeches, Steve Eisenbrown, senior vice president, Rockwell Automation and Kevin Roach, Rockwell Software vice president, discussed the progress the company has made since introducing the FactoryTalk suite at the Automation Fair event in October 2005.
“Rockwell Automation is investing heavily in delivering integrated solutions that help customers leverage the investments they’ve made in Rockwell Automation and third-party/legacy systems,” said Eisenbrown. “Through our Integrated Architecture, we’re able to help companies take manufacturing data and turn it into useful information to improve manufacturing and business processes.”
“Since the introduction of FactoryTalk, Rockwell Automation has conquered major milestones in developing solutions to help companies improve their manufacturing operations,” said Roach, “including making a world class acquisition to increase MES offerings, increasing enterprise manufacturing intelligence and developing the Rockwell Automation Integrated Architecture to include both control and information.”
RSTechED is a week-long technical training event for the Rockwell Automation partners and customers. Attendees take part in interactive technical and hands on training sessions designed to educate them on various Rockwell Software products and solutions. In addition to RSTechED, Rockwell Automation also hosts other user events, including the Process Solutions User Group, the Life Sciences Symposium, Automation University in Europe and Automation Expo in Asia Pacific.
