Plant Services wins seven 2005 ASBPE awards

Plant Services has won seven awards from the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) in its annual Awards of Excellence competition. ASBPE recognizes the best in editorial, design, and online achievement through these awards.
Founded in 1964, the American Society of Business Publication Editors (ASBPE) is the professional association for full-time and freelance editors and writers employed in the business, trade and specialty press.
Plant Services won one National award in the “Regular Column, Staff-Written” category with Lisa Greenberg’s PS Files (“Are women welcome?” December 2004 and “The ultimate cost of convenience,” September 2004).
The magazine won three regional gold awards for 1st place in these categories:
• Technical Article: “Mighty Motes,” September 2004, Rich Merritt
• Case History: “Sign it away?” August 2004, Sheila Kennedy
• Front Cover, Illustration: “Seize power,” December 2004
It also received three silver awards for 2nd place in these categories:
• How-to Article: “Don’t wait for the dark,” November 2004, Rich Merritt
• Front Cover, Photo: “Mighty motes,” September 2004
• Publication Redesign: September 2004
