Other MPact events this fall

“NASCAR Racing: A Model for Equipment Reliability & Teamwork,” will be presented by Robert Williamson of Strategic Work Systems, Inc., in December. This presentation will look behind the scenes in NASCAR racing to find the secrets of equipment reliability and teamwork. NASCAR's Nextel/Winston Cup series provides an easy-to-understand model for world-class manufacturing, equipment maintenance and reliability. Williamson has spent nearly 10 years studying the relationship of NASCAR Winston Cup racing to improvements in manufacturing and maintenance.

“Systematic Troubleshooting,” October 26 – 28. Students in this course will learn how to reduce downtime by reducing the time required to solve problems.

“Industrial Mathematics,” November 16 – 19. The course enables technicians to better understand the mathematics required while working in an industrial or facilities environment. Also helps students refresh their math skills prior to taking other MPact courses.

Also planned are courses on OSHA (participants will receive the OSHA 30-hour card), CFCs and ultrasound.
