Patrick Ostrenga is owner of Occupational Safety and Health Auditing, Compliance Assistance Services, in Milwaukee. He also is a board member for the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, College of Education, Department of Occupational & Environmental Safety and Health. He served for more than 34 years of experience with the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA), where he received several internal awards. Ostrenga received the Safety Lifetime Achievement Award from the Wisconsin Safety Council in 2012. He has conducted training on safety and health topics for hundreds of professional, managerial, labor, educational and other organizations, including the National Safety Council and the American Society of Safety Engineers. Ostrenga has conducted more than 1,000 inspections in construction, general industry, maritime, and agriculture and has conducted or supervised investigations for more than 100 fatalities in the workplace. He has served as expert investigator and expert witness for OSHA. Ostrenga holds a bachelor of arts degree in economics and political science from University of Wisconsin-Madison.
