Mr. Smith is president of Maxzor (www.success-in-training.com) and has worked for more than 30 years with maintenance organizations in over 400 plants worldwide to develop maintenance and reliability strategies. He has performed as a maintenance manager, maintenance supervisor, maintenance training specialist, maintenance mechanic and maintenance consultant in organizations including Exxon USA, Alumax (this plant was rated the best in the world for more than 15 years), Kendall and Hercules Chemical. Author of "Lean Maintenance" and "Industrial Repair: Best Maintenance Repair Practices," he is currently working with Keith Mobley on "Rules of Thumb in Reliability Engineering." Ricky recently spent more than a year deployed to Kuwait and Iraq as a maintenance company commander for the U.S. Army Reserves.
