President of consulting, training and troubleshooting company Pumping Machinery LLC (www.PumpingMachinery.com), Dr. Nelik has 25 years experience with pumps and pumping equipment including positions at Ingersoll-Rand (engineering), Goulds Pumps (technology), Roper Pump (vice president of engineering and repair/overhaul) and Liquiflo Equipment (southeast regional sales manager, then president). He has written more than 50 documents on pumps and related equipment worldwide including a pumps section for the "Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology," a section for the "Handbook of Fluids Dynamics," and the book, "Centrifugal and Rotary Pumps: Fundamentals With Applications." He teaches pump training courses and consults on pump operations, engineering aspects of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps, and maintenance methods to improve reliability, reduce energy savings and optimize pump-to-system operation.
