Hank, Scott and Don van Ormer, AirPower USA

The father-and-sons team at independent consulting company AirPower USA adds up to more than 70 years of industrial experience. Hank van Ormer has audited 800 compressed air systems for companies including General Motors, Nestlé, Saint-Gobain, IBM, John Deere, General Electric, Boeing, and Ford. He has serviced and overhauled compressed air equipment representing nearly every make, model and manufacturer. Don is a qualified Air Master Certified Auditor and has developed measurement techniques to use air velocity as an accurate guide to estimate turbulence-driven pressure losses in piping. Don and Scott are both qualified on Levels I and II of the DOE’s Compressed Air Challenge training program, Advanced Compressed Air System Management. Founded in 1986, the company has developed accredited training courses for continuing education and a complete curriculum for technical colleges, and has led more than 100 training workshops for plant engineers, maintenance staff and purchasing managers.
