Women may hold the key to future STEM innovations

July 16, 2014

While women and men can both equally hold the key to inventions, a growth of more women in STEM careers like engineering and physics would open a new door for discovery.

This infographic hit the nail on the head when it said, “Supporting women in [STEM] fields is one way to insure a steady pipeline of bright scientists to lead the future of American competitiveness and innovation.”

While men certainly have made their contribution to society through an endless amount of discoveries and inventions, it may be time for women to step up to the plate. But this can’t be done without help from both sides. Not only do men need to encourage and support girls and women to pursue a career in STEM, but women need to take responsibility for their studies and not give up on the challenges that they will face while studying STEM.
