Introducing girls to the motor industry

July 24, 2014

The Education and Training Foundation put on an event where young girls were introduced to the motor industry and what it looked like to work there.

“Before I was unsure about an automotive job, but from the experience I’d do it 100%,” one girl said of the time spent at Raytheon’s “open house.”

Raytheon put on an event where young girls got to go in and experience what it would be like to work in the automotive industry. While this event took place in Britain, it offers significant opportunities and ideas for the U.S. and how we could get people interested in STEM careers. Watch the video to learn more about what the girls did and what they liked about the event.
