Siemens offers cross-training courses to maintenance professionals

A new cross-training approach from Siemens Energy & Automation gives maintenance and engineering professionals the tools and understanding to commission, troubleshoot and upgrade automation projects from top to bottom, the company says.
Service 1-2-3 is a series of training courses that address performance-improvement demands to optimize integrated automation systems. The courses reportedly take a holistic, totally integrated automation (TIA) approach to training and reduce the need for multiple component training sessions.
Three hands-on instruction curricula focus on systems-level skill building for the entire automation system. The three levels are:
S7 Service 1 introduces students to the company's Totally Integrated Automation system, which addresses commissioning, troubleshooting and upgrading the automation system, including the HMI, PLC, drive and communications networks.ADVERTISEMENT
